The Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) is thrilled to announce the third annual Cape Winelands District’s Phenomenal Women Awards that will be held in partnership with the Historium Trust and the Afrikaanse Taalmuseum en -monument (ATM). This prestigious event will celebrate the remarkable achievements of the phenomenal women in our community. The award ceremony will be held in Paarl on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
The call for nominations is now open, and we invite the public to nominate unsung heroines who have made inspiring contributions to the Cape Winelands communities. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the CWDM website or be collected at any CWDM office or the Historium Trust in Paarl. Additionally, you can receive the form by sending a WhatsApp message with the text “Phenomenal Women” to 076 017 6062. Completed forms can be sent via email to info@historium.co.za or via WhatsApp to 076 017 6026 or be delivered to the Historium Trust or any CWDM office. Entries close on Wednesday 31 July 2024.
This year we are excited to announce the addition of a category that highlights the contributions made by women with disabilities. The other categories recognise women in, Agriculture, Early Childhood Development, Basic Education, NGO/CDW Sector, Entrepreneur/Business, Community Support, Management, Passion and Promoting Afrikaans.

The judging process will commence in August by a panel of esteemed women from the Cape Winelands.
The ceremony promises to be a highlight of Women’s Month, recognising and celebrating the exceptional achievements of women who have inspired their communities and motivated others to strive for excellence.
